We are actively recruiting Family Consultants on an ongoing basis throughout Montgomery County, Howard County, Frederick County, and Prince George's County. Family Consultants provide individualized consultation, training, and support to families participating in Maryland's Autism Waiver Program and help families implement strategies that promote independence, safety, communication, behavior management, and successful community participation.​

About Adaptive Minds Coaching
Adaptive Minds Coaching is a Maryland Autism Waiver provider dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and young adults with autism build independence, develop life skills, strengthen social connections, and reach meaningful goals. We partner with families to create individualized supports that promote growth, confidence, community engagement, and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

Provide individualized consultation and coaching to families

​

Support behavior management and positive behavior support strategies

​

Assist families with daily living skills, socialization, safety, and independence goals

​

Collaborate with caregivers and other Autism Waiver providers

​

Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes

​

Participate in required trainings and supervision

​

​​

Minimum Qualifications

Meet Maryland Autism Waiver Family Consultant qualification requirements

​

Licensed or certified professional as permitted under Autism Waiver regulations, OR qualifying Master's/Doctorate degree with required experience

​

Experience working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities

​

Strong communication, coaching, and collaboration skills

​

Reliable transportation is required

​

Ability and willingness to travel throughout assigned service areas

​

Ability to pass required background screenings

Compensation & Benefits

$55.00 - $65.00 per hour
