Eddie Atanasoff, M.Ed.
Co-Founder & Program Director
Mr. Edward (Eddie) Atanasoff, Co-Founder & Program Director, oversees all programmatic and technical aspects of the Autism Waiver Program, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery and compliance. With over two decades of experience as a special educator, he has been deeply involved in Maryland’s Autism Waiver Program, advocating for and implementing effective interventions for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
In addition to his leadership role, Mr. Atanasoff serves as a special education teacher within Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS), where he fosters an inclusive and enriching learning environment tailored to the diverse needs of his students. His hands-on approach and unwavering dedication have earned him a strong reputation as a passionate advocate for individuals with autism.
Mr. Atanasoff holds a master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education from Johns Hopkins University, equipping him with the specialized knowledge and skills to drive impactful programming and support for children and families in the Autism Waiver Program.

Managing Director
Ms. Andreea Capanu oversees the agency’s management, financial operations, and human resources for the Autism Waiver Program. An economist by trade, Andreea brings a wealth of business acumen to the agency, complemented by over 15 years of experience in managing and recruiting staff for international development programs. With a strong commitment to operational excellence and a passion for supporting individuals with autism, Andreea ensures that the agency remains a trusted provider of essential services while fostering a thriving and compassionate work environment. Ms. Capanu holds a master's degree from the University of Florida and is fluent in Spanish.
